iPhone 5S Restore Screen

So I got this iPhone 5S for free because they didn't know who to fix it as it has the connect to iTunes screen. I tried to restore the iPhone 5S to factory settings using my MacBook Pro on MacOS Catalina but it was stuck on the Apple Logo and the bar. Since after several hours of waiting, the iPhone 5S didn't seem to progress whatsoever, I pressed the power button, the volume and home button and it came back to the connect to iTunes screen. My main issue is the fact that the iPhone 5S can't upgrade to iOS 13 so I don't know if it has anything to do with iTunes and the fact that Apple killed iTunes in MacOS Catalina. Please help.

Hi Jay,

It sounds like you need help restoring your iPhone and I want to help.

While it's true that iTunes isn't on macOS Catalina, the functions of iTunes still exist.

Rather than restoring via iTunes, you'll restore in the Finder in macOS Catalina.

Follow these steps:

Let me know if that helps.
