I was using an iphone to make a call with an iphone user and when the caller’s alarm went off i could hear the sound. Is it a malfunction or its normal

If you heard the caller's alarm off sound through your earpiece, that's normal.
It would be normal to hear any sound from the other end of a conversation. If the other person was having a party in the background, you would hear that.

He may have a second iPhone. His friend's iPhone may have gone off.
This makes some sense. I’d try and see. Was just strange because i know sounds are not meant to go off in the callers ears while on the phone. And yea it was through my airpods
Background sound is normal. But sounds from a callers phone wasn’t usual unless it happens to others as well. Someone just told me it was possible through my earpiece
