How do I change the battery for my magic keyboard? I got a message that the battery is running low.

MacBook Pro batter is not charging Can the battery be changed without replacing the keyboard. I contacted a service provider and was told that the battery cannot be replaced alone but I also have to pay for a new keyboard since the battery comes attached to the keyboard.
