I no longer have my airport time capsule. How do I get rid of the software

Are you asking about the AirPort Utility software application on your Mac? This software is part of the Mac operating system and cannot be removed.

Likewise, the Time Machine application on your Mac is part of the Mac operating system and cannot be removed.

Yes. My Airport quit working. After speaking with Apple Support, I purchased an external hard drive and set it up to work with Time Machine. Apple no longer sells the Airport Time Capsule. I suppose I just ignore the Airport Utility. I’m not sure what it offers me.

Correct, if you do not have a Time Capsule, AirPort Extreme or AirPort Express.
