The only option for updating iTunes on you iPhone is owning a computer? Seriously one must go buy a computer to have the latest iTunes ? That’s really ugly. The phone was expensive enough.

What are you talking about?
iTunes does not run on your phone, it runs on your computer.
If you're trying to update iOS, you can do that without a computer provided you're connected to WiFi.
Go to Settings>General>Software Update.
Thank you, I was concerned when iTunes
was indicating there is an update and do I have the latest version? With instructions for doing so with connection to a computer.
