How to stop my notes checked items from moving to the bottom? (Macbook Air)

I've only seen support for this on the iPhone and iPad... I just upgraded to a newer Macbook Air and when I opened notes for the first time it asked me if I wanted to automatically move checked items to the bottom... I accidentally clicked yes in my rush and now I can't undo it. I keep most of my checklists categorized really specifically so this feature is driving my crazy!

I've gone to Notes<Format<More and it has it as what looks like it should be uncheckable but it's greyed out and can't be unselected... Please help!
