How to delete Apple Watch from icloud account

How do I remove my Apple Watch completely from my iCloud account , I sold my watch and the new owner keeps on getting a sign in verification from my iCloud account. I factory reset the Watch before selling it yet the New owner gets the message to sign in Yo my iCloud account
