My MacBook keeps dying when put to sleep?

I got my MacBook Air 2 weeks ago, and there's been three times when I've put it to sleep on nearly 100%, but when I pick it up a few hours later it's either run out of battery or on less than 10%.. wondered if anyone could help me out?

Obviously I know that it's going to go down because things are running in the background - just not the whole battery worth haha

MacBook Air 13", macOS 10.15

Hi,

Resetting SMC could solve the issue.

If it doesn't help, you'd better make Genius Bar reservation or take your MacBook Air to Apple Authorized Service Provider to be examined it. It could be possible your MacBook Air has hardware related trouble.
