How to prevent automatic folder creation when rearranging iphone apps?

I'm not able to rearrange apps on my iphone, because a folder will automatically pop-up with a name like Productivity, and move my apps into it. It's then very difficult to move them out again, causing my apps to get scattered everywhere. How can I prevent these folders from appearing? What a time waster! I don't want ANY folders I don't create myself.
