The Ulysses App is an Apple Virus

After some extensive researches and experimenting, I am convinced that the Ulysses App has been the main source of having my Apple accounts and other connected services always ending up compromised. It first started a few years when I first encountered a malicious actor on my Apple products and ever since then it’s been almost an annual thing where they would come back and compromise an account on Apple. So for a long time I thought it could be Facebook or Google but after a process of elimination I’ve narrowed it down to a malware in system that uses key logging and has access to my photos, iCloud, and writing apps, like emails and texts and notes. I’ve tried many approaches to see if I could expose the vulnerability, even went as far as replacing all of my devices, but still had the same Apple ID for many many years now. Then the issue resurfaced and so I tried to clean out my iCloud storage to see if I could reset it but I found an interest that’s been in my iCloud since storage 2014 that I’ve never used before or remember downloading. It was the Ulysses App. I’ve tried to delete on my iOS but it refuses to be deleted. I tried to delete it from Mac but it still would not be deleted. This app has been sitting silence in my iCloud storage and refuses to be deleted off of my account since 2014 which was the exact year when I had my first experience with a bad actor within my devices.

The Ulysses app is a writing app, that means it can log everything you type into the keyboard, including emails, texts, passwords, and other things. Not only can it see whatever you type into your keyboard, it also access to many other privileges and access to other data, such as iCloud storage of notes, websites you visit, and photos.

Since all of my devices uses the same iCloud account, the Ulysses app appears on all my devices. I am convinced that the malware or virus I’ve been searching for is an app that is allowed on the AppStore despite the history of this doing very strange stuff as other users have posted over 1000 complaints about it going back as far as 10 years from what I can see here on the discussions board.

ive contacted Apple to ask for help but to no avail. I’ve contacted the app developer and they said that Apple is aware of the glitch that is on their side and are fixing it. That was over a year ago. There is no reason why a key logging app that has access to so many other data can not be deleted or managed on the devices it’s on. There’s no reason why an app with so much privileges can not be deleted or status changed or report back any data to the users. Even with all the apple updates this Ulysses App still can not be removed while it sits in your iCloud with access to your data and logging your keyboard and doing god knows what with all that collections of data on the user. I have enough supporting reasons to say that the Ulysses is a virus and malicious app and Apple needs to do something about after the compiled 10 years of complaints from this app.

Perhaps Apple will do something about it on the next updates.

Yes I am fully aware of all of that; however, those factors does not apply in this case as it’ is not a purchase history nor was it a properly functioning app that would be restricted to the Apple policies. The Ulysses is NOT in the same category as the regular apps as its is impossible to delete it from the iCloud storage with its stored data within the app Itself of which the user can not open or access to see what’s stored in there. This isn’t a confusion about Apple’s AppStore policies but a serious question that Apple needs to address as its not only a long term reoccurring issue for many users but a possible security vulnerability issue as well. I want to know why it will not delete itself from my accounts?? I don’t know what you mean by “deleted properly” as there’s only one way to delete an app and I’ve done so plenty of times with other apps with no issues.
