Switching apple music plans

I have recently switched my apple music plan to the "student" plan. I expected that once it rolled over it would charge me for the student plan and forget my involvement with the regular "individual" plan. However, I have been charged for both of these plans and instead of paying $5.99 I have ended up paying $12.99 + $5.99 (essentially $19) once the new month began. Is it possible for this to be reimbursed as it seems as though this should not happen. Or is there any reason as to why this happened?

I have realised that the plan should be $11.99 a month and am wondering why it was $12.99 this time around. Both of these transactions occurred at the same time (8:40am), therefore I did not purchase anything to cause this $12.99 payment.
