drum track changing when dragged

i am having trouble copy pasting the drummer tracks from logic. when i want to copy a specific drum beat and drag it the drum beat changes upon dragging. how can i create a piece by piece drum track with the track changing when i paste it?

To move the region without changing the content, you have to convert the region into midi.

CNTR-CLICK the region -> Convert Drummer to Midi Region

The Drummer algorythm is dependent on where you put it: if you place the copied region on the same relative starting point, it won't change. If you copy it from x 1 1 1 to y 2 1 1 for instance, it will change, because the pattern now starts at a different point (upbeat - downbeat). Copying a region from 1 1 1 1 to say, 5 1 1 1, it should stay the same. See movie below. Also see that if I move the region back to the same relative point, it changes back to how it was.
