Connecting external graphics card to iMac

(I’m new to Mac so sorry if this sounds stupid)

So I have the 2019 imac 21.5” and want to add a graphics card so I can play some games at good settings I was wondering how/If it’s possible?

is it as easy as buying an egpu with a graphics card and plugging it in?
