Yes, that's what I'm saying. Your phone was manufactured and packed in China. It was shipped halfway around the world in pallets, and it's been on planes, trains and trucks, before it landed in your home.
Well, if your device is working properly, you were lucky when yourXR fell from the box.
What does the durability of the box have to do with it?

Yes, I think you should not worry about that. The iPhones boxes are strong enough and your XR should not have been damaged. I have purchased iPhones since 2008 (3g Model, now I have an XR as well) and the contents of the packages are always arranged in such a way as to guarantee excellent conservation during transport or accidental falls.
