Incorrect name associated with my phone number

Okay, when i get a message to like join something or confirm something, for example, when I was joining remind 101 for a class I have, I got a message from the app in text messages ,the teacher had sent me, since I changed my number and had to rejoin the class remind 101, it said "Hi Shannon, this is Mrs. LeClere. I'm using Remind to send important updates. Reply YES to this text now to avoid missing my messages for Chemistry. Reply NO if you do not wish to receive messages from this class." and every time I get a message to confirm something like this, it always says Hi shannon even though my name isn't shannon, and I'm trying to figure out how to change this because when i joined the class's remind 101, it put my name as shannon farmer when i joined, so if anyone knows how to change this from saying Hi shannon which is not my name I would very much appreciate it
