I have an iPhone XR and randomly in the last month it has started to set off shop alarms on leaving the shop.
has anyone had this problem and is there anyway to fix this?

Similar instances will occur with automobile key fobs. Some security systems are set much to sensitive and will react to those in your pocket. Try putting the iPhone in your pants pocket or a purse and carry it lower than your waist if possible. There really is no other option except to turn off the iPhone before you pass through.
Just been to the Apple store, they said it’s the first they have ever heard of it. And suggested I book a genius appointment even tho he asked there most experienced genius who said that was the first he had heard of it. said it could possibly be a hardware issue.
im confused
the only guess I could come up with is some type of near field communication signal possibly causing the alarm to go off. Where I work, the alarms are triggered by magnets. We have what is called a turtle alarm on some products. These are deactivated with a magnet. If one of the managers walks through the alarm area with one of the portable magnets, the alarm will sound.
I have no idea how that could happen. If no one else provides any suggestions, I would talk to someone at an Apple Store to see if they have any answers.
Are you saying that when you leave work with your phone that an alarm system in the building gets activated. If that is the case, I would suggest working with the building manager to try to find out why that is happening.
No I mean, if I go into a shop such as Tesco every time I leave the security alarm goes off. As if I have left the store with something that has a security tag on it.
