Strange message “Memory trace upload was successful”

Thanks for posting your question. I understand you received an unexpected alert and have had a few other issues with your iPhone.

What was happening on your iPhone when that message appeared onscreen? What apps were in use that you can recall? This might help work out what happened.

Regarding restarting, you might check your battery health and whether performance management has been enabled: iPhone Battery and Performance

You also mentioned a mobile data update error. This has some troubleshooting for the error you mentioned: If you see an Update Failed or Apple Pay Not Available alert after iOS update or restart

Actually, I’m wondering if there’s a memory leak / issue with iOS 13.3.1. Every now and again, my phone just hangs; slows down, apps become unresponsive, and that was happening when I received the memory trace message from the Facebook app. Closing all apps doesn’t rectify the issue. Only a hard reboot seems to fix the issue. It also impacts the App Store - my apps simply don’t update, and this happens at least every second day. Only a hard restart sorts this out too. Seems like the memory improvement introduced in iOS 13.3 may be the devil in all this detail.

This happens when using Facebook. Seems like Facebook sends itself trace data when the app crashes. I’m pretty sure I declined these types of updates. Is this perhaps a security issue in iOS 13.3.1 that Facebook is taking advantage of?

It’s a Facebook error not an iPhone error per Apple support. It’s a Facebook crash error

Same here. Was on FB and it happened to me. I just uninstalled FB app for now.

Just received the same notification, also while using Facebook. Knowing Facebook’s reputation, this isn’t exactly comforting.

Same thing just happened on my iPhone 8 running 13.3.1, while I was in Facebook.

I just got the same message while on Twitter. I haven’t had any recent crashes. Should I be concerned? I checked my privacy / analytics and didn’t see an entry for today.
