Apple news app disappeared from my iPhone 7
When I tried to download it again, I got a message saying it was restricted but I have not restricted it and can unrestrict it. Any advice is welcome

This happened to me recently and drove me mad! I even tried resetting my settings. However, I've found an answer that worked for me. Go to Settings>General>Language & Region>Region and select your region. Even if it appears to be correct (mine said "United States"), reselect it anyway. You should see a screen that is black and says something like "Resetting region" that will go away in a minute. Then, the News app reappeared.
