Free for a year

I was supposed to get Apple TV free for a year with my new phone purchase, but so far everything needs to be paid for to watch it??

You get the ~dozen or so Apple exclusive series, and the rest is not part of the Apple TV+ subscription.

Free Apple TV for a year with iPad purchase I've heard I should get Apple TV for free for a year with an iPad purchase however I am only seeing the 7 day free trial on my account. Could someone help with this?
