Final Cut Pro X memory leak

So I just closed FCPX after it told me I had ran out of memory. It showed it was using 76GB. So I closed the program and re-opened it and after a few minutes memory usage is up to 11.7GB. I expect it to keep rising until I run out of SSD space again.

Ok just in the time I wrote this memory usage is still steadilly increasingly and now I have run out of memory again at 34GB usage.

Photo of the project: just random photos and video dragged onto the time line.

There's no reason FCPX should even be using this much memory on such an insignificant project. It's either poor programming practices not including people with lower end Macs OR Tin foil hat on: Apple introduced this in the latest version to make people think they need more memory? It would go along with their planned obsolescence antics but this is a whole new level.

First of all, delete preferences: hold down command and option while starting FCP X and click "Delete Preferences". Then reopen your library and try again.

Corrupt preferences can be the cause of inumerous troubles, so this is usually the first step in troubleshooting. Repeat the above procedure whenever there is a crash or the application misbehaves.
