Apple Watch has red exclamation point

My series 3 watch was not working properly. I then updated it last night and woke up with a red exclamation point. I rebooted twice with no success.

Thanks! I did the hard start with both buttons pressed. Both times I still get the red explanation point.

I'm afraid it's bad news then and a trip to the apple store will be required.

Sorry for the bad news but your situation has happened quite a lot on this forum and a visit to the apple store seems the only solution.
