What should someone do if when trying to set the express transit card you get "An error occured while enabling Express Mode for [credit card]." ? There is no information online.

When I try to enable Express Transit in Apple Wallet for Apple Watch I get "Could not Set Express Transit Card" and "An error occurred while enabling Express Mode for [Credit Card]

There is no support online for when Express Transit does not work. I called Apple Support, spoke for 4 minutes, and was put on hold for 30 minutes while my call was routed multiple times and no one could solve my problem.

For something that's supposed to be convenient I've lost now 40 minutes of my life. Maybe I'll take another 2 hours and go to the genius bar or, just give up.
