How to get activation unlock and contact owner?

Hello,

There was an ipad left at my work before I started there June of 2018 I thought it was one of the stores ipads that they were not using, but turns out someone had left it here. I dont know if someone here tried to mess with it but when you turn it on it is as if you are setting it up from scratch, but there is an activation lock, I have no way of finding the owners email to contact them about the ipad or to see if I can get in contact with them and see what they want to do with it.

Does anyone know how I can try and contact the owner or something? I figured they must not live in the area because its been almost 2 years and no one has ever called or came in to ask about an ipad since 2018, but its just sitting here collecting dust.
