I no longer have the 8 digit code to set the HomePod up again.What can I do?
I no longer have the 8 digit code that was on my box to reset my HomePod. What’s the alternative?

You don’t need a Homekit code, it self installs into the Home App once you’ve set it up
Set up and use HomePod - Apple Support
You can go ahead and reset it, then set up again
