Apple pencil
I bought a new Apple Pencil for $130. Doesn’t work with my iPad iPad Pro (12.9-inch), ML3N2LL/A.
It is suppose to connect when hits. Magnet and does not.

You purchased the 1st gen 2015/2016 iPad Pro.
Only the 1st gen Apple Pencil ( the one with the silver/metal top band ) works with this model iPad Pro.
If you paid $130 for this Pencil, you purchased the wrong Apple Pencil!
You purchased the 2nd gen Apple Pencil.
You need to return this and purchase the $99 1st gen Apple Pencil, instead.
For either Pencil, make sure you always keep the Apple Pencil charged up to some percentage level ALL THE TIME!
Never, EVER let the Apple Pencil battery drain down to 0% and leave it in this flat state for any prolonged period of time, EVER!
Best of Luck to You!
