does "erase all content" on my iphone delete applications too?

The "Erase All Content and Settings" button will delete everything (including applications) from your iPhone. If you need help resetting your device, Apple has a support page here:

The "Erase All Content and Settings" button will delete everything (including applications) from your iPhone. If you need help resetting your device, Apple has a support page here:
Yes it does with the exception of the Apple Stock Apps that are included with the iOS. In other words, Erasing All Contents & Settings will remove everything from Apps and the corresponding data and settings. The iPhone will returned to factory settings and the way it was when it was NEW.
