Macbook has no Airplay option

I have a MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, 2017) running Catalina 10.15.2

I tried to turn on Airplay by going to System Preferences, Display and the only option is 'Off', I cannot select or see another option from the dropdown menu.

Any ideas?
