Using Dual Sim Tray in iPhone 11 Pro Max from US

I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max bought directly from Apple in the US. The sim card tray however can accommodate only one sim. Can I replace it with a dual sim tray, and would the phone be able to use two sims? I need to use phone in a country where the phone network companies do not have e-sim capabilities.

Dual physical sim cards on iPhone 13. If I correctly understand things, the iPhone 13 can support dual sim cards with the second one being either an e-sim or a physical sim card. On my new iPhone 13 here in France, the sim tray supports only one sim card. The sales person at my (carrier) store said I should request an e-sim from my operator for the second line. What I would like to do is just install the second physical sim card that I have. Can this be done? Do I need to get a sim card tray that can hold two cards? (I see them available online.) Thank you in advance.

That device can only hold one sim and the e-sim.
