We’re victim to a cracked camera lens as well. The phone is less than 2 months old, never been dropped in a protective case and has a cracked camera lens. After nearly a decade of iPhones, this is a first. Seems to be an issue.

If you believe this is the reason for the cracked camera lens, then you should make a Genius Bar appointment at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to have them take a look and provide you with your options.
