Hi, for some reasons, I have broke my iPhone 8 Plus screen today and I can't use my iPhone anymore. One of my friend will pass me his iPhone 7 but I'd like to know if I can just put my iPhone 8's SIM card on the iPhone 7 and have all my pictures, apps and settings from my broken iPhone?

You can certainly move your SIM card from your iPhone 8 to your iPhone 7 and you will have cell phone and data service. Note that the SIM does NOT have any data on it. All the data will still remain on your iPhone 8. You will need to do the following-

  1. Erase all settings and content on the iPhone 7 by going to the iPhone 7 Settings-->>General-->>Reset-->>Erase All Content & Settings.
  2. Did you create a backup of your iPhone 8 either on iCloud and/or your computer? Hope you did. If you did not then I hope you still can with the current state of your iPhone 8. You will need this backup to restore your iPhone 7 from.
  3. Restore your iPhone 7 from the iPhone 8's backup that I mentioned above. If the backup is on the iCloud then here is how to do it-->>Restore or set up your device from an iCloud backup - Apple Support and if the backup is on your computer then here is how to do it-->>Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support
