Consistent Static from Left Speaker even while Audio is not Playing

There is a static/buzzing/hissing noise coming from the left speaker of my MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2019). The noise occurs not only when audio is played but also after the audio is stopped. For instance, when launching a music app the sound is not there, but once the music starts the sound is there. However, the sound continues once the music is stopped as well. Only when I close the app which was playing audio does the static stop. While it seems like this could be a hardware issue I'm not entirely sure it is because the static sound doesn't scale with volume like I would expect if the speaker was going out. Also given that the computer is less than one year old and is treated carefully it would seem strange that the speakers would be randomly going out (granted it isn't outside of the realm of possibility). Troubleshooting I've done so far:

• Shifting all sound to the right side in system preferences (sound persists even though the speaker is not supposed to have any sound output)
• Checking and unchecking Play User Interface Sound Effects and Play Feedback when volume is charged
• Restarting my computer
• Updating to the latest OS
• Running hardware diagnostics (no hardware issues found)
• Resetting both PRAM and NVRAM

Note: I think this is different from the "popping" noise that was reported to be an issue in December

While my computer is under warranty I live fairly far away from the nearest Apple Store and I would greatly appreciate any advice. Thank you!!
