Unknown contact got saved onto my iPhone

I was on whatsapp today and was scrolling through my contacts and noticed that a number was saved with a name, i found this to be absurd because i did not save this number and had no idea how it got saved onto my phone with a name attached to it as well. I wondered if someone could have hacked my icloud but i checked my email and i have not seen any email referring to my icloud being signed in on any other device but my own. this strange contact that got saved onto my phone has a number that is also from my network service. Does anyone know how this could have happened ? and if i should be concerned about this ?
