Open in Adobe not available, only copy or import to Adobe

On separate iPads (all same model, iPad Pro 2nd generation 10.5") with same iOS (latest) and same app version (latest available), on some I don't have the option to open a pdf file in Adobe, only to import or copy to Adobe when I hit the share button (box with arrow up).

This is important because when using the Nextcloud app while opening a pdf file, if I am not using the "open in" option the edits will not automatically be saved and updated back to the Nextcloud app pdf file.

Any ideas on how to enable the "open in" Adobe option on all iPads?

Thanks!

I discovered why the "Open in" was not available on some of the iPads. It was because the apple Files app was uninstalled on those. After I installed the apple Files app and set the Nextcloud and Adobe available under Browse/Locations/.../Edit I was able to select the "Open in" Adobe from Nextcloud and the sync was working both ways the way it was supposed to work.

Also, I noticed that after a few updates to iOS the Files needed to be set again to show Nextcloud and Adobe as described above (Browse/Locations/.../Edit/enable Next cloud and Adobe).

I am posting this solution here just in case it could help someone.
