managed apple id and sidecar

We are unable to get sidecar to work with a Macbook Air on Catalina and a 6th Gen iPad. I have read articles from the fall 2019 that this will not work with a managed Apple Id. Is this still the case or has anyone found a solution.

Can Sidecar be used with two different MacBooks (one for home, one for work)? I use a MacBook for home, and a different MacBook for work. Sidecar works with the MacBook for home, but it doesn't show up as an option for the MacBook for work (the newest MacBook Pro so I know it's compatible). I'm guessing it has something to do with the fact that I use a different Apple ID for each. If so, is there a way to use Sidecar with two different MacBooks, each with their own Apple ID?
