I know that my apple ID can only be registered to 5 computers. Can I delete the old devices?

I have had an apple ID for about 10 years. I have never had my own laptop until recent. Because I wanted to use different friends laptops for a variety of reasons I registered my ID with several of their computers. I noticed that apple would tell my that my ID can only be registered to a total of 5 computers and it was irreversible. That never concerned me because i never had my own laptop. But now I do. And my ID can only be registered to one more computer.

Is there anyway that I can De-register my apple ID from all of those old friends laptops that I no longer have access to?

Yes. Deauthorize all computers; see Authorize or deauthorize your computer for iTunes Store purchases - Apple Support

including the following from that link:

If one of your 5 authorizations is on a computer that you don't use anymore, deauthorize it. If you sold or gave away a computer that's used one of your 5 authorizations, you need to choose Deauthorize All on the Account Information page. Then authorize each computer that you still use.
