I have an iPad running iOS 13.3. I would like to permanently block the side bar that keeps popping into the right side of my screen. Fixes I have found are for earlier iterations of iOS that don't apply.

I assume that you mean multiple apps on the right and to stop that Go to Settings>Home Screen and Dock>Multitasking>Allow Multiple Apps>Off.

As an alternative to totally disabling the advanced functions of iPadOS on your expensive iPad Pro, it might be worth taking a look at the User Guide for iPadOS - and learn about the new multitasking features of your iPad.

You’re welcome. However LotusPilot makes a good point. You might find multitasking to be a helpful feature. My wife doesn’t like it, but I use it all the time.
