Reset AM tags

Hey there,

I edited by mistake some song tags and now I want to reset them to the original Apple Music tags.

Is there any way to do this without removing them and then adding them again?

iTunes tags have disappeared from songs not bought in iTunes A dance teacher colleague who uses Algoriddim's DJay software and iTunes has found that all the tags (comments) she created have suddenly disappeared for any tracks not purchased through iTunes. My understanding is that DJay doesn't allow you to create or store tags, it just uses the tags created in iTunes. So the issue seems to be with iTunes. Please can anyone help advise why these tags have disappeared from iTunes and how she can get them back. She's not using Catalina, so probably using Mojave. Many thanks for any suggestions.

Edit Song Info/Meta tags in apple music? I am considering purchasing an ipad. I was curious. Are you able to edit song info/meta tags for a song/album in Apple Music using iPadOS? I know you can on macOS but cannot on iOS. Thanks.

Ipod Touch music player displaying Itunes purchases that I'd renamed/retagged...under the original name/tags Hi, I just bought an Ipod Touch to serve as a replacement for my old Ipod Classic, and have synched my Itunes library mostly without a hitch. The vast majority of the music is from CDs that I ripped into Itunes like a decade ago. But: some stuff that I'd purchased on Itunes over the past few years is showing up as links (with the "download now" icon), filed under the tags that were originally listed. For example: several albums by Suede are on my Touch under the name "Suede" and the genre "Brit Pop," but there are links to the same albums "The London Suede" (the name they're marketed with in the US) and the genre tag "Alternative". It seems like the songs that are listed are the bonus tracks on each album, probably because when I bought the albums, I renamed the band ("Suede," not "The London Suede"), renamed the albums ("Dog Man Star," not "Dog Man Star (Deluxe Edition)", and put all the bonus tracks from all the albums into a new album I titled "Suede Rarities." Now, all of those show up under Suede, but there's also "The London Suede" in the artists list, and "Alternative" in the genre list, but only for songs that I can't play with the wifi off. Is there a way for me to remove them? Thanks!

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! I understand you have a question about editing content within the Music app on Mac. I'd like to help.

When it comes to editing song information, I was able to find details here: Change song and CD information in Music on Mac - Apple Support, but that is in regards to content you import and upload to Apple Music.

I have a few questions to help address your question further.

-What steps did you take specifically to edit the tag/info?

-Is this content you downloaded directly from the Apple Music catalogue? Or, did you import this content from another source?

-When you go to Get Info on a song in your library, and go to the File tab, do you see the 'Cloud status' as Apple Music?
