What would you do with a zip or rar file on an iPhone? There are no apps that could open it.

If your computer is a Mac you can use Airdrop.

You can email them to yourself using Mail Drop—>Mail Drop limits - Apple Support. While it uses iCloud it doesn’t count against your data limit.

Beyond that, if there is some reason you don’t want to use iCloud there are myriad 3rd party apps. All of these are supported on iOS:

  • dropbox.com
  • box.com
  • Google Drive
  • Microsoft OneDrive
  • LiveDrive

There are others, but these are the first that come to mind.

Copying through iCloud is not in the slightest time consuming. Install iCloud for Windows on your PC. On your PC drag the photos to iCloud for Windows. Or log in to https://icloud.com , click on Photos, and import the photos from your PC.

On your phone go to Settings/{your name}/iCloud and turn on iCloud Photos. The photos will automagically sync from iCloud to the phone, untouched by human hands. Just leave the phone connected to Wi-Fi for a couple of hours.

If you have more than 5 GB of photos you can expand the iCloud capacity to 50 GB for 99¢ a month. Or to more storage for additional monthly cost.

Since you are coming from Android maybe Google Photos is a better solution for you. There is a Google Photos app for the iPhone that syncs in real time.

You can do the same thing using any of the other cloud services I mentioned.

If you have any of the Cloud Drives (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, OneDrive, DropBox, Flickr, box, AmazonDrive, Adobe Creative Cloud etc)

Then upload the files to any of these drives.
