iPhone 11 not recognized by Pioneer car stereo, but iPhone 10 works great...please help.

Having no luck googling for this answer...

My truck has an oldish Pioneer (DEH-7300BT) stereo in it which has a USB port.

USB works great with my iPod nano 6th gen. When I plug my iPhone11(ios v13.3) in via

lightning-USB cable I get no reaction on either end. The stereo won't

recognize a USB connection at all and the phone doesn't even charge.

However!

Quite maddeningly when my friend plugs in his iPhone 10 also running ios

13.3 with the same cable, my stereo immediately recognizes his phone as

an 'ipod' and plays perfectly. He isn't aware of anything special he's

done in the settings.

Please help.

That fixed it! I tried the cable that came with my phone and it works perfectly. No idea why my older lightning cable won't work with my iphone11, but works on an iphone 10. I guess they changed something?!? Anyway, thank you so much for the suggestion.
