I am looking for the support for keyboard input source problems, As I want to add Traditional Nepali Unicode as input source in keyboard, after installation it does show in inputs option and I am able to type in Nepali in browser but not in office packages such as word excell. As opening of file in these types input source option automatically shifts to US option.

Mine software version is MS OS Catalina and I have no problems for Nepali typing with Nepali Traditional input method (which is not included in the original input option but just installed for the Unicode typing option. This selection works for Mail, text and other but I had problems in words as opening of word file input option automatically changes into other option. I am also adding the screenshot of the option

First one is with the compatible option while typing in the mail and text but second one is with problems in words

I dont have problems typing with Nepali (India) and Ramington. Nepali Traditional keyboard is mostly used keyboard by Nepalese for Unicode Nepali typing and works well for Window.I got it form site http://ltk.org.np/downloads.php

Kalimati font is unicode font. I am using word 2019.

This is the keyboard layout for the Nepali Traditional.

You should have no problem typing in Apple apps including Mail, TextEdit, Pages, Message, Notes. Is that the case?

Which version of Office are you using? The Mac version of this software had no support for Indic scripts for a long time, although it may work in the latest updates.

Do the keyboards for Hindi and Nepali provided by Apple work with your version of Office?

Do you have any problem typing in Word with the Apple keyboards Nepali India and Nepali Remington? If not, then I suggest you contact the people who make that other keyboard.

Where exactly did you get the keyboard called Nepali Traditional??

Is your Kalimati font a Unicode version? Apple doesn't support legacy non-Unicode fonts, so you may not have much luck trying to use those. A non-unicode font would have to use the US keyboard, and the text produced would not be readable by anyone unless they had also downloaded and installed non-unicode fonts on their machines.

A Unicode Kalimati font should work in Apple apps and I think also in Word with the standard Nepali keyboards, if you have the latest version of Office. What version of Word are you using??

For getting that keyboard to work in Word:

Try putting copies of the Nepali Traditional .keylayout file in both Library/Keyboard Layouts and Home/Library/Keyboard Layouts

Or try this slightly modified version of Nepali Traditional

If after trying my last suggestions you still cannot get the Nepali Traditional keyboard to work in Word, you can also ask in the Word forum:

(I have no problem with using that keyboard in my Word, but I am working in 10.13 instead of 10.15 and my Word version is not the latest)
