Purchased movies/tv shows not showing in tv app library

I have tried restarting my device, signing out and back in, and deauthorizing and authorizing my MacBook Air but my purchased movies and tv shows will not appear in the tv app library. When I try downloading the movies from my purchase history I am not able to play it. The tv app shows that I have purchased it on "Watch Now". Please help.
