Failing to send a SMS to apple support
I am in the US, but the response I get is always "this feature is only supported in the United States

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. From what I understand, you want to reach out to Apple Support by text message, but are getting an error that it's only available in the United States. I'll do what I can to help.
Make sure you're messaging from a US-based phone number, especially if on a Dual SIM iPhone. Also, check the region setting on the iPhone: Change the language on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
