Siri turning on automatically

Siri is turning on automatically while I’m using my phone with my headphones plugged in it’s an iPhone Xr so there’s nothing like the home button is being pressed mistakenly.

it says ‘hmm, i’m having trouble hearing you.’

please help.

It sounds as if something you're saying is getting interpreted as "Hey, Siri...". You might want to turn that feature off.
