I have one group text with all iPhone users that has no reply box to type a response. It keeps disappearing. Very frustrating to have to recreate the group every time. iPhone 11, newest iOS.

Thanks for the help, but none of these things solved the problem.
i May have figured it out however. I toggled on the”show subject field” in messages, and then off again. This brought back the reply box. Hopefully it will stay now.

Take a look a the steps here and give those a try: If an app unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open.
You may also want to take a look at the information in the "If you have issues with a group message" section here: If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
You may also want to sign out of iMessage under Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Then, sign back in again.
