Apple Watch series 1 brightness problem

Why is my brightness so low? The brightness is super dark and hard to see. My parents watches are way brighter and the same version (series 1). How do I make mine brighter? I’ve done software updates and unpaired it too.

I don't mean the always on brightness but the active brightness. I guess the problem exists since series 5/6 as I read it here. Is there no way to adjust this yourself? My series 4 is much brighter! This is a pity and for me a reason to send the watch back.

Display Brightness on Apple Watch Series 6 Hi Community - this morning the display brightness on my watch became very dim, almost unreadable. Check your settings on the watch in display and brightness.
