bluetooth continues to drop the device but keeps connected...

So i have noticed that my phone when connected by bluetooth to a speaker or headsets will stay connected but i get no sound. I hit play and it doesn't go back to stop (showing the pause sign) but no music comes out. I then disconnect and reconnect the device and voila music again! Why is this happening all of a sudden with the update to 13 i think or 13.3. Is there a fix? Thanks
