I don't understand why you can't import your Message contacts from your iphone to your Message app on your Mac. WTF? Do I have this wrong?

If you want to sync the contact info from the phone to your Mac, and you are using iCloud on both devices, make sure that in the System settings for iCloud on the Mac, "Contacts" is enabled.
If you have the same settings on the iPhone, your contact info should sync across the devices, as soon as you open the contact app.

All info that you assigned to a contact in the contact app will be synced to your Mac as well, including the phone numbers, if listed under the contact name.
If you have a Messenger App like WhatsApp, the contact list can't be synced using the contact app.
In case you use iMessage, the info from the contact app can be used on both sides.
Great, that makes sense, and I see contacts is checked on both but on the iMac Messenger is not specifically in that list. That means only email contacts are shared on the iMac. So how do I get Messenger in my icloud list on my iMac?
