Projector Displaying Purple Hue Connected to MacBook and/or IOS Devices

We tried hooking up several Apple products to our projector and found that the blacks become purple, and the whites have a purplish hue. This is true of two recent MacBook Pros, an iPad Air, and an iPhone XR. We have tried several adapters, all with the same results. An older MacBook Pro with built in HDMI works fine, as do PCs. The Macs are running Mojave, the iOS devices the latest versions of iOS. Any suggestions?

Good afternoon goboparcan,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand you are seeing color variations when connecting several Apple products to your projector. What is the make and model of the projector? What adapters have you tried? What operating system is on the MacBook Pro with built-in HDMI that is working fine? You may need to check with the manufacturer of the projector regarding possible firmware or software updates needed and for information about adjusting color profiles.
