connecting projector x Hdmi with interference

I have a new 1080p projector, with airplay and cable. It happens that when I connect my iMac late 2015 (MAC OS MONTERRREY 12.6 last version) to the projector with HDMi cable it has interference (rainy and then blackout) at 1080i resolution, but it works perfectly at 720p, the same happened with my new 2020 MacBook Air M1.

With other devices, at 1080i works perfectly.

Is this a Mac OS Bug?

thanks!

This seems more like a cheap HDMI cable issue than a Mac or adapter problem.

I would first try a High Quality Premium Certified HDMI cable.

Then if that doesn’t help, then I would look into getting some better quality adapters for the iMac and MacBook Air.
