I'm trying to open a Numbers document created on my Mac and saved to our family iCloud. No matter how I try to open it I get the "The document “name” could not be opened. " error message. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for posting your question to the Apple Support Communities about your inability to open up a specific file on your Mac. I'd be glad to see how I can help.
Since this started, have you restarted your computer? If not, let's do that now and then see if you can open that file without issue. You can do that by going to the Apple menu in the upper left of your screen and choosing Restart from the list.
If the issue remains, see if any other devices in your shared iCloud can open the file without issue and let me know.
